YoDo ("the App") is published by Lily Launchpad Labs. This policy describes data handling in the version distributed on Google Play.
Your tasks, checklists, reminders, and preferences are stored on your device. No YoDo account is required. The App also uses the speech, diagnostics, payment, and backup services described below, which can process data outside your device.
The App includes Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand usage and diagnose reliability problems. These services automatically send data to Google, including:
These identifiers can distinguish app installations; this data is not described as anonymous. The current App has no in-app switch to disable analytics or crash reporting. Firebase encrypts this data in transit.
When you use the microphone, YoDo passes audio to your device's selected Android speech recognition service and receives a text transcript to create your task. That service may send audio to its provider's servers for processing, depending on the provider, device, and settings. YoDo does not guarantee offline speech recognition. You can type tasks instead, and you can revoke microphone access in Android settings.

Optional tips are processed through Google Play Billing. Purchase information is exchanged with Google Play to complete purchases, and the App keeps a local record of completed tips. YoDo does not receive your payment card details.
YoDo can create local backup files, and you can export a backup to a location you choose. Android may also back up your task database and preferences to your configured backup provider or transfer them to a new device, according to your device settings. These backups can contain task content. Android backup controls are separate from YoDo's local automatic backup setting.
Google services are covered by Google's Privacy Policy. See also Firebase's privacy information. Your selected speech recognition and backup providers may have their own privacy policies.
Local app data remains until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall. Local backups can retain earlier task content until those backups are deleted. Exported files and Android cloud backups can remain after uninstalling. Analytics and crash data already sent to Google follows the applicable service retention settings and policies; uninstalling does not immediately erase it. See data deletion instructions below.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

You can remove the App's local data and manage other copies as described below.
Uninstall YoDo or open Settings > Apps > YoDo > Storage > Clear storage on your Android device. This removes the App's local data. Android menu names vary by device.
Delete any backup files you exported from their saved locations. Manage cloud backups through your Android or backup provider settings. A backup can restore earlier task data when reinstalling or moving to another device. Deleting local app data does not delete these separate copies.
Clearing app storage does not immediately delete reports already sent to Google. For a privacy or deletion request, email support@yodotask.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We may need additional information to locate records associated with an app installation; an email address alone may not identify those records.
Clearing YoDo data does not remove your Google Play purchase history. Manage that information through your Google account and Google Play.
